House Bill (HB 453) – HIGH SCHOOL. Students participating in their high school marching band may substitute 2 years of their marching band for physical education and performing arts requirements for the standard high school diploma, and students with physical disabilities that participate in the Special Olympics may use some of that participation to meet high school diploma requirements for physical education.

Senate Bill (SB 484) – DATA CENTERS AND UTILITIES. This bill prohibits utility companies from passing on the costs of providing service to data centers to other customers. Instead, large-load customers are responsible for paying the costs associated with the electric service they require, ensuring those expenses are not distributed across the utility company's broader customer base. The bill also prohibits utility companies from providing electric service to certain large-load customers affiliated with foreign entities and establishes additional regulatory requirements.

Senate Bill (SB 628) – RENAMING TO HONOR. This bill renames several local and regional roadways and an airport. New names include “Warrior Sacrifice Way” in Escambia County, the “Esteena Kay Wells Memorial Highway” in Walton County, and the Tallahassee Airport has been renamed “Bobby Bowden-Tallahassee International Airport.”

House Bill (HB 1103) - VESSEL RESTRICTIONS. This bill allows local governments more flexibility in dealing with vessels that are at risk of becoming derelict if the local government adopts ordinances to do so. Code enforcement officers would be permitted to issue non-criminal infractions to the vessel owner and allows the code enforcement officer to relocate or remove the nuisance vessel from state waters. These nuisance vessels are a concern because they can be navigational hazards as well as endangering marine life.
