About
Meghan Betz is an Associate Attorney with Chesser & Barr, P.A. Her primary areas of practice are family law, business and general civil litigation, and real estate.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Betz worked for 12 years as a paralegal in Denver, CO. Between her experience as a paralegal and as an attorney, Ms. Betz has been in the legal field for more than two decades. As an attorney, she has represented clients in federal court cases, including matters for vessel seizures, employment litigation, plaintiffs’ first property party disputes, and odometer litigation. Her passion for justice and advocacy for her clients are cornerstones of her practice.
Ms. Betz is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida; the Bankruptcy Courts in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida; Florida Third and Fourth District Court of Appeals; and all Florida state courts.
Ms. Betz is a graduate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She worked as a paralegal while pursuing her Master’s and Law degrees. She graduated with honors from her Master’s program and later began her career as an attorney in Fort Lauderdale while advocating for the rights of Plaintiffs against insurance corporations. Ms. Betz has made the beautiful Emerald Coast her home and continues to pursue justice and advocacy for her clients.
