Scott J. Welner

Scott J. Welner is a 1998 graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelor of English degree, earning highest honors. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2001 from Florida State University College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in September of 2001. Scott has been admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts and in the Northern District of Florida.

Before joining Chesser & Barr, P.A., Scott spent the last four years as a senior litigator at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. where he practiced in all phases of insurance defense litigation, primarily in the professional liability defense field where he represented a wide array of clients. Scott’s main practice areas include General Litigation, Insurance Law, Personal Injury, Homeowners’ and Condominium Association Law and Professional Liability.

In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his two sons, relaxing on the river, watching football, and taking advantage of all the benefits of living on the Emerald Coast.
